Legend of Carrot
My game entry for the GBJam 10. The theme was Gameboy and Plant.
You play as a Carrot trying to save the Peach Princess who has been kidnapped by the evil Fluffy Bunny Gang, Avoid detection by pressing the A button (Z key) to Plant yourself into the ground. Pressing A (or Z) again lets you jump out of hidding.
Watch out for electrical fences that block your path. To disable them you'll need to find hidden buried keys.
Created with GBStudio. The downloadable file is able to be played on your Gameboy Color.

I like the hiding mechanic, very inventive and fun. Nicely drawn big sprites.
